Absaroka Mountain Lodge - Cody

We went on a day trip, and it was definitely worth stopping by! If you have a bit of extra time, make sure to take a ride over. The owners are very hands-on and readily available to assist. The guide we had was delightful and knowledgeable. The venue is spacious yet cozy, featuring a lovely brook and beautiful seating areas. On our next visit, we plan to enjoy some food and stay longer—perhaps even take two trips! It's conveniently located near the gate, yet still far enough away to feel peaceful. I highly recommend it; it's a fantastic experience!

**Pros:** - Gorgeous, tranquil landscape - Clean and quiet environment - Located very close to Yellowstone - Welcoming owner and staff - Charming, rustic feel **Cons:** - There is no Wi-Fi or cell service in the cabins, although you can find Wi-Fi in the main lodge; however, it's quite unreliable, based on our experience. - The cabins lack a TV and air conditioning. - The ceilings in the cabins are quite low, which may be an issue for tall guests (my friend who is 6'4" bumped his head a lot!). - I would describe the experience as more akin to "glamping" than staying in a traditional hotel (which might be more suitable for professional guests or couples seeking a more luxurious experience). Overall, it's a charming place to unwind and connect with nature!

The family that owns this restaurant is truly wonderful! They provide a warm and personal touch. The location is absolutely breathtaking! It offers a fantastic family experience, and the food is delicious! The cabins are spotless, and I enjoyed sitting back, relaxing, and reading a great book. It was truly a magical experience, and I highly recommend it!

I went on vacation and that was undoubtedly my favorite hotel because of the cabins, the valley it was in, the checker table in the lobby, the horses, and the fried chicken?. The staff was very nice and they were very helpful. My sister really wanted to go trail, but it was raining and it was canceled. The person who worked at the stable came to our table in the restaurant and apologised us and explained that it was dangerous for the horses to go in this weather. We have our money back and I think they have handled the situation very well. It is about 20 miles from Yellowstone's east entrance, which is very convenient. I'd stay back.

Staff was extremely friendly. Cabin was nice. One suggestion would be for better lighting at drive from main road and especially at cabins near back. Lighting inside cabin could be added to as well. Location was quaint, rustic and extremely close to East entrance into Yellowstone.
