Kay's Real Pit -b-q - Cocoa

I went for dinner at 7:00, and it was quite disappointing. The waitress had her husband and crying baby with her, and they were both clearly a distraction. I tried to place my order, but it was difficult to get her attention, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded—there were maybe only 12 people there. This place used to be good, but it seems to have gone downhill. It's such a shame—I wouldn't return even if the meal were free.

I ordered a French dip with provolone, and it was both affordable and delicious. The service was outstanding as well. The peach cobbler was pretty good, too!

Let's go! The hush puppies were heavenly, and the food was delightful. Serena, our server, was absolutely gorgeous and brought us so much joy with her constant smiles. This will likely become our favorite spot during our stay in Cocoa.

Come here to remember! I had my first hush puppies here. They are crispy and delicious. The green beans are with an anchovy I never had before in my life, but I will never have green beans unless they have it. The shrimps were deliciously grilled with light spices. My picky little eating father ate almost all his plates and sides (not always that! Very good. Huge plates and sides. Again and again, until we leave Florida. Thanks Kay? S

My first visit and missed taking a few pix. This shot shows the Brunswick Stew that I took out. Amazing and look at the heartiness! I?m going back for a gallon. The pulled pork was tender and tasty, the fried catfish was very good. The mac n cheese was cheesy tasty and a large portion. The brisket was average. The meatloaf was very good, too. The slaw portion was monstrous and good. BBQ Beans were some of the best I?ve had. There was no greeting as we walked in and waited at the counter to be seated. Would score a 3.5 but can?t do that. I will return though.
