Syke Farm Tea Room - Cockermouth

Beautiful, a few vegan options to see in an area where there are few places to eat. I tried the vegan cake with a side salad that was delicious. the banana cake was also beautiful, but the coffee was not after my taste (I think they serve illy coffee I don't like).

Does not expect to find the vegan series that it has. sign them on the door and tell them vegan food available. 3 cakes and 2 cakes available, and probably some meals, but I didn't see. I tried them all. excellent curry paste and coconut cake.

Many tables outside. they had lemon sorbet and several lunch options. there were some vegan cakes. Oh had an eccles cake, I had a coffee/cobal cake. service was very pleasant, but it was super busy, so had a pickup taking place. updated by previous review on 2021-06-17

Lovely little place near Buttermere. Lovely cakes especially the Vegan coffee cake. So good I asked for the recipe.

I've lived in Borrowdale for two years now and had no idea Sykes Farm in Buttermere had a vegan menu! I feel like I missed out on two years of delicious lunches, so it's time to make up for it. Three delicious desserts on offer; tea loaf, fruit crumble, chocolate torte. Oat, coconut, and soya milk avaable for your hot drinks. A vegan meatball sub with vegan cheese! A vegan spiced pumpkin soup on the specials board today. All marked as such in all their vegan glory. A lovely setting as well with warm and snug lighting and delightful scenic photos of nearby views. Will definitely be recommending to everyone I know.
