Matsuya Japanese House - Cochrane

Came in there with our kids tonight and the server was so kind. She even brought our kids special kiddo chopsticks to learn on. I highly recommend this place!

The food is good but the service is absolutely horrible. any time i asked for anything the lady would roll her eyes at me and sigh. when i asked for a box for my left over sushi she grabbed my plate and walked away with it without saying a word while rolling her eyes. It’s also more expensive than other places. for the price i’m paying i shouldn’t have to deal with a rude server. i’m always kind to restaurant workers bc i understand how hard it is, but i was always taught to have amazing customer service which they don’t have

Super warm inside. Much warmer than outside, had to leave. They should get air conditioning. Might be important for making and serving sushi.

Matsuya is a wonderful place to visit. Joe and his wife are absolutely wonderful hosts and people, making the food better than it already is. Wether dining in or taking out this place takes my absolute top place for a sushi/sashimi fix in both the Cochrane and Calgary area.

I like Japanese restaurants!These sets were so great and tasty! I even haven’t expected that it could surprise me!Highly recommend!
