The dining experience was authentic and stood out from other Chinese restaurants nowadays. The decor was simple yet clean, the service was friendly, and the menu was diverse. What impressed us the most was the fresh and delicious food, all at very affordable prices. We will definitely be returning to Wanfu in the future.
The restaurant has lovely decorations and excellent customer service. However, the food was disappointing. The only dish that stood out was the chicken sumai. I ordered a combination platter of meats and appetizers, but the pork ribs lacked flavor even with sauce. The breaded chicken breast skewers were okay, but I had requested chicken wings instead. The pawn toasts only tasted like sesame. The "spring rolls" turned out to be egg rolls, not the traditional rice paper rolls I had expected. The servers should clarify if dishes are crunchy or fried. I wanted to dine outside with an ocean view, but was told by the owner that it might rain, which it never did. Despite the server saying it was fine to sit outside, the owner had not instructed the staff that it was not allowed. The servers seemed unfamiliar with the Chinese food menu, and the restaurant should consider updating their offerings if they are no longer serving prawns.
The view at this restaurant is amazing. It is recommended to eat before coming here, as there is a long wait for service. The pathways to the bathrooms and outdoor seating areas are messy and disorganized. It's a shame, because the food is actually quite good.
We stopped here for dinner looking for a different waterfront experience from the other Irish seafood places in town. With limited options, we thought we’d give it a try. Service was good, but food was disappointing. Edamame was mushy, veggie egg rolls were actually pretty good, sauce on veggie udon was too sweet and tasted like it came from a can. The curry was fair to good, and the tofu tasted reheated and was missing that crispiness. Overall, the food was not very good. Prices were poor to fair, but portion sizes were good—it was the poor quality of the food the made it seem overpriced. Drink selection was limited and beverage prices were too high. Service was good, food was served hot. The building is in poor condition, making me think the kitchen is probably not the cleanest or best kept—but I did not see the kitchen. However, the paper was peeling off the walls, paint was chipped, and the general state of the dining space was poor.
We ordered traditional Szechuan dishes. Very delicious. Spicy, but not too. Location is typical Chinese and very nice. The staff was very friendly.
