Whitewater Brewing - Cobden

I 'm not much of a beer drinker, but my husband is. He loves craft beer and local breweries. So my brother often gets him beers from Whitewater Brewery for special occasions like Christmas. For at least the past few years they have a gift set called The 12 Beers of Christmas. The beers have funny festive names and funky festive flavours. This past year, 2023, some of the beers in this set were Cuddly as a Cactus (Green Apple Sour , Figgin ' Christmas Cake (Christmas Cake Honey Brown and Not My Gumdrop Buttons! (Gingerbread English Ale . Even though I 'm not a beer drinker, I do like trying these unusual flavours and having a tiny sip. My comment is usually too hoppy or tastes too much like beer! Haha. My husband likes the fun flavours but has noted that some of the notes are on the artificial side, and likes their regular beers better. They sell their beers online and offer free local delivery (The Ottawa Valley or you can also pick up at their location in Cobden for free. They deliver to the rest of Ontario for a shipping fee too. Their beers are also available at the LCBO. The 12 Beers of Christmas set is regularly $68 but if you pre-order, you get the pre-order sale price of $54.40, which is what my brother did. It means my husband received his gift a bit early, but I 'm proud of my brother for scoring a deal ; (12

Beautiful building with nice interior design. Fun and friendly staff, good variety of menu items and beer. Nice array of options in the menu, lots of locally sourced items. That explains the slightly higher prices for pub fare , especially in the small town of Cobden. That 's my main reason for a 4 vs 5 star rating. I had the Rueben sandwich with added poutine. Sandwich was hearty and tasty on a fresh bun. Poutine was ok, nothing super awesome. My friend had the Chicken Fillets which looked nice and crunchy and she said they were tasty! I 'll be back!

Had lunch today at this great spot. They have some great craft beers, I had the Farmers Daughter and it was excellent. On Sunday they have a brunch menu. My friends had eggs beni and another one had the breakfast burger. I had lunch instead of fish and chips. The food was very good and the service was attentive, friendly and timely. I'm going to stop there again for sure.

So I've never been to the first location but this place is BOMB! It's so unexpected for this area to have this great quality food and craft micro-brewed beer. The menu items are sourced mostly locally and range from Vindaloo curry to burgers to Arctic Char. They even have spicy duck wings. This spot is phenomenal!! I'm actually gonna miss being in the middle of no where Canada just because of this brew pub. They have a full bar including an inventive craft cocktail menu! DEFINITELY DEFINITELY make the trip out here or their other location. It's completely worth it.

First time that we stopped here, have driven by it lost and finally stopped! Beer is nice and cold! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had the chicken pesto Sammie, my husband had the whitewater burger and our son had the chipotle burger! All we excellent! Should have stopped here earlier!
