Garbo's Uplands

Went here for the Vegan night they do (not sure how often) and was not disappointed. I'm not a vegan myself and not a great lover of veg and the like but the menu was incredible, there wasn't a thing on there I didn't want to eat that and it all sounded fantastic. Really good price for 3 course meal and all the staff were really friendly. Fast food times too! Based on that visit I'd definately go back to try their normal evening menu!

Lovely decor and atmosphere. The 2 staff on duty when I visited were so pleasant and attentive. Both very charming. However my meal did not measure up. My friends and I ordered the Christmas 3 course set menu. I ordered the beef which unfortunately was tough and chewy. It was changed for Turkey which was just ok.. My friends had nearly finished their meal though by the time I had the Turkey. I was given a complimentary glass of wine which was a nice idea. We all had a lovely evening but agreed the main meal did not impress. It was nothing special which was a shame as 2 of my party had eaten there before and recommended the restaurant. We should have eaten off the main menu I feel.
