Passed by the restaurant on our way to the abbey, had a quick lunch here. Very tasty boeuf bourguignon, with homemade chips. (The homemade steak tartare and the charolais carpaccio were nice as well, but the boeuf bourguignon stood out : The salad, which is often neglected in a lot of restaurants, was fresh and had a tasty dressing. Staff was attentive and friendly. Cluny might have it’s tourist traps, but this is definitely not one of them :

Le personnel est souriant et attentionné, la terrasse est agréable et la cuisine est excellente. C'était un déjeuner parfait après la visite de l'Abbaye.

La salle est simple mais confortable. Il pourrait peut-être manquer un peu de chauffage. L'accueil est sympathique. Nous avions choisi un menu entrée/plat à 24 euros. La terrine était succulente et la cassolette d'escargots au St Véran excellente. Pour les plats suivants, la joue de bœuf façon tajine était très bonne, mais il n'y avait pas assez de légumes à mon goût. Le gratin de ravioles était également bien réalisé. Il y a un bon choix de vins au verre. C'est une très bonne adresse dans sa catégorie. Nous avons déjeuné là le jeudi 25 avril.

Super welcome, warm and friendly. We ate in the family two days in a row, so it was good. The box and the beef to try!
