Cotton Patch Cafe - Clovis

I had business to attend to in Clovis and had not visited in a while. I was pleasantly surprised to see this cafe, so my family and I decided to have lunch there. We arrived during peak lunch hours, which accounted for the extended wait time for our food after ordering. The burgers that my husband and son ordered were excellent! I had the fish and chips, which I found to be slightly overcooked and heavily breaded. The dining room was charmingly decorated, resembling a farmhouse. Overall, it was a good experience.

My family and I recently tried this restaurant for dinner and were extremely disappointed. We arrived early, before 6:00 pm, and found only one other table had been served before us. Despite this, it took a while for our server to take our drink order. When we tried to order lemonades, we were told they were out, so we settled for soda/teas instead. More tables were seated while we waited for our food, including a party of six who got their meals before us. It took 40 minutes for our order to come out, with parts of it arriving at different times. Unfortunately, the food was cold and flavorless. When I mentioned this to our server, she offered to make something else, but we declined. We were given a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert, but we were still charged for our meal. Overall, we spent over $50 and left feeling unsatisfied. We won't be returning and suggest others avoid this restaurant as well.

I highly recommend this restaurant for brunch. The price per person ranges from $10 to $20. The food and service both received a rating of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was also great, receiving a rating of 4. I recommend trying their Chicken Fried Chicken and Chicken Fried Steak dishes.

I gave the food a rating of 4, but only because they had run out of squash. However, the grilled flounder and chicken fried steak were both excellent. The atmosphere also received a 4, but it was too cold inside. Previous patrons should definitely consider bringing a sweater or light jacket. I highly recommend turning up the thermostat to a more comfortable level. Our server was attentive and friendly, providing great service during our dining experience.

I ordered carrot cake for my children, who usually love it. However, they immediately spit it out and upon tasting it myself, I found it to have a chemical taste and a smell similar to nail polish. I am unsure if this was a mistake in the order or if the quality of the food is not up to par. The carrot cake was not appetizing. The delivery service was fine and the price per person was between $10-20.
