It is a big BBQ spot would be an understatement. bold and tasty aromen. the whole meat cooked the same day. all sides are fresh. coleslaw was a bit watered for my lust. but literally everything else was fantastic! dino ribs were probably my favorites. but not the big bone. get the lower rib to get more bang for her buck. the actual rib bone probably weighs 1lb. dino bone aka bark rib, a bit overpriced after my opinion. final judgment. I'll be back for more!

The barbecue at this restaurant is unbelievably delicious with an amazing flavor. I ordered the Kirk Jackson sandwich and my boyfriend had the Mad Jack sandwich. Both sandwiches had generous amounts of tender, perfectly cooked meat with little fat. They were the best barbecue sandwiches we have ever had. The sides were also perfect. The atmosphere at this barbecue place in the rustic mountain town of Cloudcroft was just right. The staff were friendly and the owner, Mad Jack, was warm and gracious. It is clear that he puts his love into this place and wants everyone to enjoy HIS barbecue and dining experience. Mad Jack's is definitely worth any wait to taste his incredible barbecue!

This restaurant serves the best barbecue I've ever had outside of a backyard. The "dinosaur" beef rib was fantastic, and the brisket had amazing bark. Just be aware that you might have to wait in line for up to two hours for your fifteen minutes of eating, so make sure you're not too hungry when you arrive. I really wish I could have enjoyed a few drinks while waiting.
