Lucille’s Roadhouse - Clinton

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and seemed to have a lot of potential. It was quiet with few customers, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. However, my experience was disappointing. The staff seemed more focused on cleaning the tables from previous customers rather than attending to the guests who were currently seated. After waiting for a full 15 minutes, we asked one of the women who was cleaning if we could at least order some drinks. She replied, "I'll see if I can find your waitress," and then vanished. Eventually, we managed to place our drink order.

I arrived at around 5 PM on a Saturday, and the restaurant was empty, so we were seated without any trouble. It got busier while we were there. Our server was outstanding, and the meal was incredible. The side salad that accompanied the meal was the best I've ever had.

The food was enjoyable, but the service left much to be desired. Our party of eight was seated shortly after we arrived, but we waited about ten minutes before we could place our drink order. We eventually had to flag down a staff member who told us it wasn't her responsibility, but she would locate our waitress. She returned about three minutes later to take our drink order.
