TGI FRIDAYS - Clifton Park

We went to the restaurant for lunch yesterday right when they opened, so it was not very busy. There was only one other person besides us when we arrived.

The waiter provided excellent service, promptly taking our order and delivering our drinks. However, there was a significant wait for our food to arrive. The new menu items all appeared to be very appetizing.

I arrived at the restaurant at 5:30 pm for happy hour, hoping that my favorite bartender Justine would be working. Luckily, she was there, and I believe both the staff and customers are very fortunate to have her.

It was regrettable that there was a power failure about 15 minutes after sitting, but that is not the reason for this negative review. I had a voucher for a free appetizer that was ordered and our drinks were just delivered. The power fluttered and then went out and the waitress told us that they would not be able to use the ovens because there was no power, so we decided to leave. We left our drinks on the table (soft drinks) and the server gave us an invoice for $18.00 for the free appetizer we never get and the drinks we did not consume. She told us we had to pay cash since the computers were down. Did she really expect us to stay in the dark and finish our drinks?? We went out. I was very disappointed at how management could handle it. I know that power failures are rare, but I am not inclined to return to this place due to this experience.

Steak was very good, but ribs were terrible, barely ay sauce and served cold. The waitress was dismantled and everything was forgotten. I have to think again.
