Contribuiți la feedbackUpon arriving at the restaurant, we encountered an older woman and a younger girl at the front desk who were not very friendly. Unfortunately, no one welcomed us to the establishment. Despite being half an hour early for our reservations and the place being empty, we were told our table wasn't ready. We asked if we could have a drink at the bar while we waited, but the younger girl said she would come get us. The bartender also seemed a bit indifferent, telling us we couldn't sit where we were and making us wait over 5 minutes at an empty bar before serving us drinks. To her credit, the bartender did become friendlier, but she never came back to check on us. Eventually, the rude young girl from the front desk returned and seated us. I was wearing a dress, yet she asked if I wanted a black napkin due to my pants, which could have been offered more politely. Despite this rocky start, we eventually had an alright time. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the filet we both ordered. However, the service fell short of our expectations for a restaurant of this caliber. The dining room was nice and clean but nothing extraordinary. If you're looking for great food, this place is worth a visit, but don't expect exceptional service.
Located just a short walk from University Hospitals and the CWRU campus, this restaurant offers excellent service from knowledgeable and attentive servers. The food is quite tasty and they have a decent selection of wines. It's also within walking distance of Severance Hall. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning when I'm in the area.
We chose Michaelangelo for a nice birthday dinner. I had been there before, and the food, service and ambience were great, We had an eggplant cup (my friend is a vegetarian) that was delicious and great enough to share. I ordered the gnocchi with a hazelnut sauce, but the sauce was very embarrassing. My friend ordered a drunk goat cheese pasta that was amazing. The service was excellent with a very attentive server, and the wine list was quite extensive. Overall, it was an excellent experience.
Very disappointed. Wasn't in a few years and won't be back. Ignored after we sit, so we had to have a waiter flags, waited again for water, menus. Had to ask for specials. For everything. One in our party ordered well made pork chop and there was hardly cooked. It took some time to mark someone down and ask if he is cooked. The whole party was terminated with her ducks before the pig chop was put back on the table by the manager. When asked what happened in this point, the manager has developed an unprofessional attitude and response. Not what you would expect from a high-quality restaurant. The chef/owner name and phone were asked on the way to the outside and hopefully will provide a discussion with him better results. The only positive way to take was that the food (except the uncooked pork) and wine was very good. What a shame.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted by an older woman and a younger girl at the reception who were not very friendly. Despite being early for our reservation and the place being empty, we were told our table was not ready. We decided to wait at the bar for a drink, where the service started off shaky but improved. The young girl eventually returned to seat us and made a somewhat inappropriate comment about my outfit. Despite these initial hiccups, the food was truly amazing. The filet we ordered was excellent. However, the overall service did not meet our expectations for a restaurant of this caliber. The dining room was lovely but not outstanding. In the end, our experience was saved by the delicious food, but I have had better experiences at other restaurants for the same price point. I would recommend coming for the food, but be prepared for some shortcomings in the service.
