Papa's New York Diner - Clearwater

This little diner will greatly exceed your expectations.  They serve much more than typical diner food.  You can get everything from breakfast to a full dinner.The service is excellent and the entire staff, including the owner seem to really care that you have a good dining experience.

Good food and a cool environment. Very funny little diner! We had Alexandria and she was great. Super beautiful and also very efficient. In any case it is worth checking!

The kindest waitress ever. Zia knew the menu like the back of her hand. She had great recommendations and she spoke to the kitchen staff to speculate. This diner is the diner. Many of Diners claim NYC, but this diner is true NY style and taste. Best French toast, best homeries, the absolutely best cheese cake and the best PASTRAMI. I love it, yell into the whole team.

This hidden gem of Clearwater is worth every second you spend here. The staff is amazing, polite, respectful and friendly. The person who seated us who I thought was the host is actually an owner and is one of the most respectful and engaging people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Our waitress Natalie was the best! She was courteous and wonderfully pleasant and knew just what menu items to suggest to enhance our already wonder experience. The homemade cheesecake will blow you away and overall I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I do not have enough good things to say except thank you and I am glad I can say that I will be a lifelong customer to this excellent hidden gem!

Here are some good diner eats. Late Sunday afternoon was fairly quiet here. Just a couple of patrons. Definitely has that old-school diner feel to it. The server was really nice and helpful. The food was delicious. Tuna melt was ample as well as the Greek salad. Two thumbs up. A couple things, they probably need to invest in some blinds that work fully to block out the setting sun as well as maybe it is time to upgrade some of the seriously stained chair upholstery. Also, how many employees does it take to work a cash register? There were two servers running around taking care of all of the customers, and it was obvious they were very busy. It took about five minutes for the server to even make it to our table to get our drink order. Not a big deal, but three employees were just sitting around staring at the cash register the whole time. Still, the food and service were great, and I would surely return for another dinner.
