China City - Clearwater

For my first visit, I went in on a Thursday evening. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, but it might be wise to call ahead. They do have a kiosk for ordering, which only accepts chip cards. Once we made our decision to dine in, there was just one other customer there. The staff was friendly and professional throughout our visit. The Bourbon chicken with roasted rice was fresh and absolutely delicious. The Chinese donuts were delightful as well, with a wonderful cinnamon aroma filling the air as they came out hot and fresh. The Crab Rangoon was fantastic – creamy and flavorful on the inside, with a perfectly crunchy exterior. The only downside was the egg rolls; there was something off about them, and I didn’t care for them much. However, overall, I think this place is a great spot for a meal, especially if you’re in downtown Clearwater. Plus, the portion sizes are generous! My only disappointment is that they don’t open until 4 PM on Sundays.

This restaurant experience was very disappointing, and I feel deceived. I've been eating here for over 10 years, but the quality has really dropped. The pork egg rolls were only half filled, and the 8-piece party wings looked more like leftovers from a pigeon. The wonton soup had only half the usual amount of wontons, but I will say that the chicken lo mein was decent. Would I recommend this place? Definitely not.

The Wonton soup is fantastic, and the crab Rangoon is tasty as well, but the main dishes are disappointing. The rice tastes more Mexican than Asian, and the meat is tough and chewy.

My name is omar, I never post, with you my journey begins. Chicken praise mine, no chicken? I felt high, maybe B. Flavor okay. But it's not worth eating me through, which made it impossible to post a comment there. If I'm hungry, I'd have been put back on the door. I know I was wasting my money.

All I'm going to say is yuck!! Spring rolls where dark brown could be for 2 reasons, #1) overcooked #2)dirty oil that needs to be cleaned Past the spring rolls I ordered a general tsos combo plate, with shrimp fried rice I had the same issue. Rice was very orange very oily and didn't taste good but the chicken had no crunch to it and a freezer burn after taste yuck I also ordered a pepper steak combo it came with more onions than meat or peppers. There was 4 small slivers of green pepper and like half an onion. I expected the steak to be cut more thickly, I wasn't expecting shredded up beef. I would've ordered that. Won't ever be coming here again just yuck. Waste of money and time.
