The Painted Turtle Restaurant

We were with our camper on the camping site and had not expected much, the greater was the surprise: grandiose terrace, very nice service and delicious food - a real jewel!

Were there dessert after dinner, especially to enjoy the view of the terasse on the sea.The cheescake (homemade) was delicious.Positively noticed the service (a young guy, probably the sohn the operator:) he has a very annoying appearance, is very friendly and makes his inexperience with much charm.

This lakeside restaurant has lovely views of the lake and mountains and is found by the water within an RV park. It was Saturday night so the place was busy. We hadn't booked ahead but got a table on the terrace outside. It was hot, so nobody was inside. The service was a little slow to start with, but once we had ordered the food arrived in good time. I had the local trout which was very enjoyable for a reasonable price ($25). My husband had the full rack of ribs which he said were ok but not amazing ($31).The warmth and lakeside setting meant that there were some midges around. Take your bug spray!!

In an RV park we found one of the best meals of our trip!! Sitting beside the beautiful lake, delicious food, amazing service! Pricing was excellent and I'd recommend this to anyone! It would suit families, couples and younger/older people. It's not "fine dining" but I'm pretty fussy and found this place a wonderful gem. If you have time (and it is summer) do take a chance to have a swim in the lake.

A more varied menu than you might expect, and good quality food in a great setting. Hard to imagine you can do better in a town of this size.
