They're pretty busy on weekend mornings so put yourself on the waiting list and time your arrival and all will be well. We love breakfast food, I've tried a number of the morning breakfast items. We've visited 3 times in the last 2 weeks!
We have been here a few times, however this time was not good. ****** Mary’s are brought with nothing in them (a fried pickle) on the side, the last time we had one they were loaded! Breakfast fried rice was so over cooked it was sticky and so salty! 2 small pieces of pineapple only in it as well. Coffee was great! Cups need updated- chipped and paint is off of them. Donuts are just ok they were overcooked. Biscuits and gravy was good hubs said. The place needs a good cleaning and chairs etc. it was really dirty on the floors and windowsills- flies everywhere ! We waited for 10 minutes before we were given water and waited on. Bill was over $75 for 2 for breakfast so we had an expectation. I hope it works s given a good cleaning at least !
I would much rather read reviews than share what is going to be a negative one. Unfortunately our experience at Half Half today (Sunday July 28) bears similarities to that of other reviewers here. As former area residents, the two of us enjoyed eating here in years past, and we were looking forward to a pleasant breakfast on the way out of town. Upon arriving at 8:15 a.m. (shortly after opening), the hostess asked Can I help you? (well, yes, we 're here to eat). We were shown to a table and given menus; the small dining room appeared to be less than half full with two servers working the room. After waiting patiently for 10 minutes, we had not been greeted by a server, provided water, or told someone would be right with us. Meanwhile, both servers spent the time chatting with and attending to regulars and taking drink orders from customers who arrived AFTER us. We vacated our table and informed the hostess that we were leaving, for the reasons just stated. The response was a half-hearted sorry. The experience left us feeling invisible, ignored, and that H H didn 't need our business. We are a professional middle-aged couple and are hard-pressed to remember receiving such indifferent service anywhere. Half Half has clearly changed since our last visit. We hope other potential patrons have a better experience, but unless you 're a regular you may want to consider dining where you will be welcomed and appreciated. We will not be back.
28 Dollars for one item was not good maybe it might be better if you eat in may gat more food
This place had good reviews so we drove from downtown to try it out. Maybe they weren 't expecting the holiday rush, but Half and Half lived up to it 's name. Bitter coffee, burnt potatoes, donuts that were more sweet hushpuppies, and a strange slaw on the BLT Omelet thst was really just chopped iceberg lettuce. The rest of the Omelet was good at least and my girl said her breakfast sandwich was okay. Half and half, we didn 't like it.
