Contribuiți la feedbackI'll start with the positives first. The staff at this restaurant is fantastic and very attentive. I received a warm welcome from the front of house team and everyone had a smile. However, the downside of this establishment is the high prices in relation to the quality of the food. As a Ritz property, higher expectations are set and the hotel shows signs of aging. If this were a Marriott at a lower price point, the review and expectations would be different.
We recommend a high floor, with balcony, the view of the arc are somewhat more interesting than the Clayton view, but you can also not go wrong. If you plan to eat drinking, do club
I was on the 9th floor. The view was on the highway, but it was perfectly quiet. The room was beautiful... large furnishings, luxurious linens, spacious bathrooms. The hotel is ideal for conferences... many spacious ball rooms, meeting rooms, beautiful lobby with ample seating. The staff was extremely helpful, appealing and polite. Some of the big ballrooms show some wear, but overwhelmingly a really great hotel.
Spent a weekend at the Ritz Carlton St Louis for a wedding. For the most part the stay was fine. What wasn’t fine and totally opposite of what I have come to expect of the RC experience, was a situation where an employee from the security detail went to my room after I left the hotel, retrieved a ring I had inadvertently left, and rather than sending it on to me as was communicated and confirmed by the hotel on multiple occasions, the ring vanished. I’ve had no joy from the hotel, no satisfaction from Marriott Claims the parent co). And an absolutely atrocious experience dealing with them both. Despite them both acknowledging the matter and the situation, they routinely ignore me, are unresponsive, and no one is willing to shepherd this to a satisfactory conclusion. …. Replace the ring. Disgusting.
The lobby of this hotel is stunning, the rooms are beautiful and very clean. The bathrooms are nice with a separate toilet. The lobby bar is great and the club level amenities are excellent, with superb hors d’oeuvres. The omelette station at breakfast is top-notch, and there is a wide selection of wine by the glass. The view is also fantastic. All the staff we encountered, including those at the front desk, housekeeping, club lounge, and wait staff in the lobby, were lovely. The location is perfect as Clayton has plenty of shops and restaurants, and Wash U is very close by. We had a wonderful stay in August 2022. My only criticism is that parking is $25 per night, and the on-site Italian restaurant is quite expensive.
