Contribuiți la feedbackSince the opening of this restaurant a couple of months back, I wanted to wait to try on my birthday! They only had booths for up to 6 people and our party had 7 but they ended up moving us to the back room to push tables together. I liked it better that way! On to the food: 10/10 recommend! They have an easy to order method so you can create your own combo or choose an already made one. The hushpuppies we got as an app may be the best i've had from anywhere. The corn on the cob i've been thinking about for days. The snow and dungess crab are both fantastic can't go wrong with either one. Get the juicy special sauce!! Keep in mind they do not yet have their liquor license but grab a soda and you'll love this place! I'm assuming it will only get better the longer they're open.
Alex was great!very kind, helpful and inviting.Did a great job helping with service, knowledge and engaging my children. with fun; drawing at the table and explaining crawfish, snow crab and blue crab.On another note, there was no heat and kind of cold in the restaurant.Had to wait 40 minutes when there were plenty of open tables, because of their 2 servers called in.No alcohol due to state licensing.None of this was Alex's fault. And he deserves all the praise for having to juggle 2 call ins and the conditions on site. This is a new franchise in our area and I understand it takes time to get things up, running and perfected. But for the time being in the people's choosing to spend their money there yeah, there should be better conditions in incentives for the people who want to eat there now during this.
First I want to say this is new restaurant and they do not have all their stuff together yet. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated because they don't have wait staff. They get their liquor license in a week (March 5th) Found out the manager walked out after 3 days of being on job, guess she couldn't handle the heat. Speaking of heat, The heat doesn't work but it was a nice day today so really not needed. They were out of many items...(onion rings, green beans) But besides all those things that can get better...the food was good. Our waiter Alex (Alejandro) was the best and so patient with our table of 9. He was very helpful explaining the menu and setting up our combos. I ordered combo I with extra corn and potatoes. I got the Hot garlic butter and it was hot! But good! Fish tacos were horrible! No flavor at all and they ran out of the sauce that goes on them. You get 2 small tacos for $10. Not worth it. Fried calamari was good. I like the breading. Hush puppies are small but you get 12 to an order. Chicken wings were very good. Gratuity was added automatically at 18% and that is okay because always leave at least 20%. Our server Alejandro was excellent and worth it. I liked Juicy Crab but until they get more staff and get their stuff together, I'm going to keep going to Storming Crab.
Just left here and I need the Pepto Bismal. I feel like I have been drinking a bottle of vegetable oil after leaving here! Definitely did not get stuffed, so that's a bonus. The 10 cars in the parking lot at 6:30 p.m. should have been a clue for us, but we figured there probably were not alot of people out to eat yet because of the weather being so nice. Now, we know why there were so few cars...Our server was Danisha and she did the best she could with the poor quality of food she had to work with. We didn't mind dropping $100 for the two of us, had the food been good. I ordered the combo shrimp, King Alaskan Crab legs, clam chowder and cajun fries, while my boyfriend ordered the shrimp, mussel, Dungeness Crab, corn and potato and boiled eggs. My soup came on a styrofoam plate! It was very hot (a good thing), but it was a greenish color with an extremely fishy taste and I've had better out of a can. When the rest of our meals arrived, I immediately noticed how few and how little my Alaskan King Crabs were! I've had bigger at Red Lobster and thought this place was a step-up from them; boy was I wrong!I ordered mine Juicy Crab style, mild and my boyfriend ordered his Juicy Crab style, hot. Mine was more like a medium and had alot of spices, while my boyfriend's was so hot, he almost couldn't eat it and he loves spicy food. Both meals were extremely greasy, like I mentioned. The shrimp was good and plentiful, while I could barely even find the Crab with my meal and my fries were cold and tasted like Rally's, only worse. My boyfriend's Dungeness Crab was large and WAY bigger than the Alaskan King Crab Legs. In fact, one of my shrimps had mire meat on it than my crab leg. Both tasted good, but nothing special. A small fork for digging out the Crab from the shell would have been useful. They didn't have any.As you can see by my pictures of the soup and crab leg, the food was very disappointing. I included the small cups of butter next to the crab leg to show the size comparison. We were not happy at all with the quality, price and taste of our food. Finally, they don't even have alcohol! They don't have their liquor license still! There also was no manager walking around and asking how everything was. A previous review said the manager walked out on day 3 after opening...not surprising. The place was overpriced and the food was not good for the reasons I previously mentioned, therefore, we will not be back. We love seafood, but for $100, we could have eaten at Red Lobster, had better food, and left with more money!
They had quite few items on menu tht thy didnt have. So comparing this place with Stormy crab they are better with the fried foods. The onion ring, chicken strips, fish, calamari, french fries, fried oysters, fried shrimp Stormy cant touch them. They didnt have seafood bread uggh or Gumbo on their menu which sucks. There juicy wings was good but not the best. There seafood boil sauces was ok but not like Stormy. So when i want seafood boil seafood bread and gumbo Stormy it is. If i want fried seafood Juicy here i come.
