One of the best places for Mexican food around all of TN. Truly everything we've ordered has been delicious. Worth every dollar even if it's a little bit more than the other places.

That said, I believe the quality and flavor of the food at El Toro surpasses many other local spots. The ground beef in the tacos actually has flavor, unlike the bland offerings found elsewhere. Their salsa also has a nice kick to it, in stark contrast to the tasteless varieties served at many other restaurants. I’ve often expressed my frustration with the bland, Americanized flavors prevalent in many local Mexican eateries, but El Toro showcases more authentic Mexican spices and flavors than you typically encounter. However, while I enjoyed the food, the service was quite poor. It’s possible that the specific employee serving us was just having an off day, but it's something to be aware of. Another downside was the unsatisfactory condition of the restrooms, which raises concerns about the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and food prep areas. In summary, while I found the food at El Toro to be excellent, the absence of the buffet means I likely won’t return in the future.
