Contribuiți la feedbackI requested a diet drink, excluding Diet Coke due to my diabetes, but the waitress brought me Diet Coke. When I explained that I do not drink Coke, I asked for sparkling water but was given warm water. Upon requesting ice or a cold drink, I was informed there was none. Eventually, I settled for tap water, thinking it was cold bottled sparkling water. When we went to pay at the till, my friend was asked to pay extra for a side order of brown bread, which she had not been informed of when placing her order. The lady at the till ultimately did not charge her for the extra side. Overall, our experience was disappointing and unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant, even though it is conveniently located for our weekly meetups. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
I went to this restaurant for lunch with my partner a few days ago. We both had homemade sausage rolls with a side salad. They were decent, but more on the lighter side for a meal. We also ordered two teas and a smoothie. When I was told the total was 35 euros at the till, I was shocked. I understand inflation, but this seemed like they were taking advantage of it.
The place was very nice, visited on a suggestion. Small but varied menu. Coffee, cakes, soup, sandwiches, quiche, etc.
We would have liked to have a breakfast for the two of us before two others joined us for coffee, but when we requested to swap the potato rosti (which we don't like), we were told no. They offered an add-on option for an extra charge instead. We were disappointed as regular customers that they couldn't accommodate this small change. We decided to leave and went to a cafe further up the road where we met our friends and enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
Cafe/restaurant in the village of Clarenbridge. Coffee is good but a little expensive, food just OK.
