Wing'n It - Clarenville

Excellent wings! (For those new to this chain, this was my first visit, so I can’t compare it to other locations.) The wings were incredible! The meat was tender and juicy, lightly breaded—when they say “lightly,” they really mean it—and generously coated in sauce. There are easily over 100 flavors to choose from, including a few dry rubs, and every category features spicy options. The heat level is rated from 1 to 5; I tried a 2 and experienced just the right amount of kick (my spice tolerance is about average). A single order of wings weighed over a pound. The ‘side’ of fries came in a whole basket and was made from real potatoes. The garden salad was a typical chopped variety, but all the ingredients were fresh. They also offer many other dishes if you’re looking for alternatives. The restaurant was clean and had an airplane theme, with large screen TVs on every wall tuned to Sportsnet. The beer selection was decent, if not exceptional. The music was played at a volume that allowed for easy conversation. While the service was a bit slow, our server was friendly. I will definitely return for the wings!

The servers were fantastic! The portion sizes are larger than what you find in St. Johns, which was great, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the Amelia Earhart wings and adding a roasted red pepper crop duster to the fries.

The food is quite good, but it takes a long time to arrive—usually over 30 minutes. The restaurant is never crowded, which makes me wonder why that is.
