Do not let them look foolish! Eating is low quality with weak and badly informed waitresses! the place could benefit from astute management with leadership qualities! what a shame! the food was under the average.

Breathtakingly rearranged as they enter clarens. the intention is exquisite! and tuned by the service and eating! I had vicky as my waitress, she was friendly, friendly and attentive! the menu I found a strange mix I had the starter chicken liver and foccaccia. the foccaccia was freshly made and well spiced, the chicken livers were delicious! although as starter I had it as main.

Really nice place, with a very nice view over the Mountain in clarens The service was really good, and Alina our waiter was really friendly The owner who clearly had a drink or two, was very attentive, and made sure we feel at home' and are happy! Really a friendly chap The Food : Oxtail with Mash, was really good! Some of the best i had in a LONG time, and made me miss my Mom's home-cooking All and all, GREAT! Thanx guys!

We booked a table for 10. Arrived 10 mins early and they found it very amusing to confirm and reconfirm whether we had made a booking. Then ha ha... we have your table right here. We should have read the signs ... new, confused and hoping a John Cleese act would help. 2 big tables got in ahead of us and to be fair they told us we world wait a while. After ONE hour I queried if this was going to be worth the wait; he apologised for being new and asked me how he could fix it!!! Not even a bread roll on the table; Arguing from the kitchen; Service staff receding into the back...Hey this could be a Fawlty Towers in the making especially with management walking busily out of control with beer in hand. The restaurant business is tough and we wish them luck in this good location but seriously ... the most disappointing dining experience in 8 years of visiting Clarens. We paid or drinks and left with 2 other tables following suit as the poor man looked on and did nothing.

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant located within walking distance from our hotel. We discovered a hidden gem with delicious meals. We highly recommend trying the fried artichoke cherry chocolate meringue pot - it's truly a wow dish! The owner is special and their passion for food shines through in every bite.
