Contribuiți la feedbackAmazing personal, amazing eating and amazing place. we enjoyed our lunch at herrn Mick’s with a great selection of food and wine. fantastic aromen in the selection of the food we have chosen, and the wine is still the best.
My partner and I had a lunch reservation at Mr. Mick Cellar Door and Kitchen (part of a bike trail initiative). Unfortunately, I woke up with a bad back and had to cancel our bike ride. We decided to still go to the restaurant for lunch. The staff, especially the woman at the front of the house, were incredibly courteous and considerate of my pain. They seated us in the beautiful garden with comfortable chairs. They made everything so easy for us. We tried the chef's selection menu and the first tapas offerings, which were delicious. Unfortunately, my back pain worsened and we had to leave early. The staff kindly packed up some leftovers for us to take with us and even insisted on not charging us for the two drinks we had. The service couldn't have been better, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant on 12/18/22. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating when my friend and I showed up with 3 children in tow without a reservation. They were all wonderful and the food was delicious. Special thanks to the chef for the "feed me" option suggestion! We had a great time and can't wait to come back soon. Thank you!
The only saving grace was the Tim Adams bottle of Cab Malbec that we bought...and a salad! The dining experience was quite disappointing. The squid was tender, but overshadowed by the overpowering lemon myrtle aroma. The only piece of barramundi was drowned in a sloppy coconut sauce. How was that even considered tapas? The basic croquettes, which should have been a highlight on the tapas menu, lacked the promised cauliflower and were drowned in cheese. And then there's no words to describe or bid farewell to the beef meat bowl. It was the worst piece of meat any of us can remember eating, even less appetizing than boiled noodles. The dry and bland pork peas were a close second in terms of unappetizing dishes. The lamb dish was more edible, though it looked unappealing. Did the kitchen only have a bad night? We were hopeful for the next dish to be good or better. It is hard to believe that the only dish that didn't disappoint was a delicious salad. It was really good, but with such a big menu, it's surprising that only one salad was worth eating. They should stick to making salads and enjoy them in a nice pub in the valley instead.
Only open for dinner on a Friday, so very busy when we visited. We ordered the 4 course menu with matching Tim Adam’s wines which included cauliflower and cheese croquette, soft shell crab, barramundi, churros, and a delicious dessert of the day tart. All extremely...good including service.
