Ristorante Bar Da Vitale

Come di consueto ci rechiamo a Civitavecchia a mangiare da Vitale sul viale e questa volta mangiamo delle pizze che in foto non rendono giustizia.. deliziose leggere e super condite.! Tutto perfetto per un sabato sera così come il servizio sempre gentili e pronti a consigliare alternative varie.

Le porzioni sono abbondanti, ben curate e ben servite. Il risotto alla pescatora, abbondante è squisito come anche la frittura fresca e ben cotta. Il piatto che consiglio è lo spaghetto alla Vitale , consigliatomi dal grande Sandro. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Consiglio.

The people were very friendly. The service was excellent. The food was great. We tried pizza in many places in Italy and this was the best.

I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant. We had the worse service I have ever had (and I’ve traveled the world over). The food was mediocre at best. The staff did not speak English except for one waitress who spoke very broken English and with whom we had to resort to google translate. When you work in such a touristy environment the manager at the very least should speak English; however, he spoke the least English of everyone else so he was of no assistance when we complained that we had waited 45 minutes without more than water on the table. It turned out that our waiter didn’t even place our order! Yikes! There are so many other restaurants in the area. I would recommend trying one of them and staying clear of Da Vitale.

We arrived in the beautiful port of civitavecchia. We walked around and decided to stop and have something to eat. We entered the restaurant and took a seat !! I noticed that we were being ignored by staff, and a couple of people were giving us strange looks, but I ignored them, we sat there for ten minutes plus waiting to be served. At that time, I got up and asked the waiter if he had a problem serving black people. he shrugged his shoulder !! We arrived before many of the people he was serving, but he deliberately ignored us, and it was made very clear that we weren 't welcome. In this day and age, one is completely saddened to be treated like this in Italy. We will go back to civitavecchia but never ever go back to ristorante pizzeria da vitale. they should be ashamed. This is 2023, not 1903.
