Pizzeria Convivium - Ciudad de Panama

We saw the great reviews of this pizzeria and the pizza did not disappoint. It was very flavorful and light. The sangria was ok. The waitresses were very attentive. However, when we went to close out our bill, one waitress took it upon herself to add the tip she desired and then quickly ran to the rear of the building until we left. We would have given them a nice tip, but it’s the principle. I’m not sure if that’s indicative of this establishment and it has happened to other Americans, but we did not take too kindly to this treatment.

A great Italian restaurant and pizzeria at very reasonable prices in a fun, relaxed environment. The Spaghetti with clams I had were some of the best I 've ever had outside of Italy and many Italian restaurants would be proud to serve them. Same for the seafood soup. Portions are also generous, much bigger than in Italy, so a single dish and a dessert (all are home made) are definitely enough for a meal. We didn 't try the pizza, but it looked great coming out of the wood fired oven when they were going to other tables. Service is friendly and quick. The decor is fun, with the nice touch of a big picture covering an entire wall of Italian actor Alberto Sordi eating spaghetti in an iconic scene of the 1954 movie An American in Rome .

We ordered bruschetta pomodoro 2 pizzas everything was delicious! The restaurant has a pleasant relaxed vibe, the staff is nice helpful. So glad we live closeby coz we will be back!

We only had drinks, but the place looked clean and service was great.
