Visited last evening for an early supper before a show at Proctor's. The meal was superior to the show. The dining room was not yet open so I sat at the bar. Cozy. One of the best tagines I have ever eaten. Hearty, rich, well seasoned. Perfect for a cold, windy winter evening. Worth the money. Generous portion that I get to enjoy again today at lunch time. Will visit again. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten-free, vegetarian and dairy free options. The food is stunning.
This was the worst lunch I ever had. They mixed together lentils, canned artichoke hearts, stewed tomatoes, mushy eggplant, Spanish olives, raisins, and some potatoes into something that tasted like dirty dishwater. I took three bites and realized it was inedible. Completely. It seemed as if they scraped the dishes of previous diners and maybe fished some discarded food from the garbage to throw together on our plates. I also found the service to be untrained, unfriendly, unwelcoming, and incompetent. The establishment seemed dirty, too: the kitchen did not appear sanitary, the tables and menus were sticky, and the bathrooms were uncleaned. I will not return. Ever. Good luck to you if you dare to eat at Tara Kitchen in Schenectady. Make sure you have health insurance.
We had a party of nine people and we all loved the foods we got. I can't wait to go back and try something new. Very friendly and helpful service. Food was very delicious as
Called in lunch order and picked up. Good food and service. Next time will eat in!
