Spot Coffee - City of Saratoga Springs

Do not come here if you are in any kind of hurry or are imminently hungry. Coffee and food quality is FINE nothing better. Service is incredibly slow, like actually unbelievable. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese, and 20 minutes later was still waiting. When I went up to wait at the counter, another customer told me they’d also been waiting 10-15 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese. When I replied that I’d been waiting 20 minutes, a barista turned around and berated us, told us we actually hadn’t been waiting long, and said not to talk to each other or stand by the counter. “We’re short staffed and working as fast as we can” she said, as I watched 4 workers struggling to handle 2 bagels. This was a Monday morning in the summer with very mild traffic. I watched the worker doing food spend a full TWO MINUTES putting cream cheese on a bagel, painting it delicately as if it were an art project. I’ve worked many restaurant and cafe jobs and 10 minutes for a bagel let alone 20 is unacceptable. Snapping at customers and telling them to stop speaking with each other is not only rude but a great way to lose business. Will not be returning and will be sure to share this experience with anyone who asks me about this place.

This is a very nice coffee shop. The portion sizes are superior to Starbucks and the quality of the coffee is excellent. Pricing is comparable to other high end coffee shops. But Spot Coffee has terrific atmosphere and ample seating.

Severely understaffed and quite chaotic. Place to order is not clearly marked. Still waiting on a bagel and food after 30 minutes...Nice building though.

The latte wasn’t great, it tasted like it was short and espresso shot, and the woman who rang us up and made the drinks was clearly annoyed we were in there at all. When I went to throw out my drink the garbage didn’t have a bag in it so I just took it with me and found a garbage on the sidewalk. All in all every situation was awkward and the drink wasn’t anything special.

I go here often and always have a great experience, I could not say the same for today, the woman at the counter immediately had attitude, was very agitated and when I asked for my latte to be remade she gave more attitude and screamed, I mean not just loud but screamed remade latte . I also got my food after 4 other people who ordered after I did
