The Original Mama's Pizza

The pizzas, both regular and Sicilian, are excellent! The pasta dishes are also very good. One recent change is that they no longer take phone orders, which I find inconvenient; it was helpful to speak with someone over the phone during my last visit. However, the meals are delicious and generous in portion. You can't go wrong here!

The oldest operating pizza restaurant in Morningside Heights. It's family-owned, and the original mama is still around! Their large Sicilian pizzas and unique garlic knots will definitely keep me coming back for years to come.

I ordered through Grubhub, but our food arrived over an hour late. It seems like the owner either doesn't know how to manage Grubhub on his end or is pretending not to understand. When I requested a discount or at least a refund for the delay, as I couldn’t just sit around waiting for my pizzas, he simply told me to request a refund on Grubhub or to keep waiting. The service was terrible, but the pizza was quite good.

Stuff was kind to help cleaning the tables. Didn?t really expect that for this type of slice pizza place. Pizza was fresh and good!

Really good tasting pizza. The large pie is a deal and really delicious. I have made many returns to this parlor. I take out but they have tables to eat out or in.
