Taco Santana - City of New York

Oh, the Mexican drinks are fantastic! The rice and beans were perfect. The cheese enchiladas smothered in red salsa were delicious, and the avocado slices on top added a lovely touch. I highly recommend this small business!

My only downside was the tres leches cake. I'm quite particular about tres leches and flan, so I often end up disappointed when I try them at different places. Sadly, their tres leches cake didn't hit the mark for me. While it wasn’t terrible, it lacked freshness, and the texture of the cake was a bit rough and coarse. There were even random chunks of canned peaches mixed in, which was quite odd, and overall, it didn't resemble traditional tres leches. On a side note, I’ve been on the lookout for an amazing tres leches cake in New York and haven’t found one yet, so if anyone has recommendations, please share! Thank you!

Every time I visit this place, I'm always impressed by the incredible tacos they serve in Williamsburg. If you're looking for authentic flavors, Taco Santana is the place to be. Their tacos remind me of my mom's home-cooked meals, I swear! Plus, the staff is always friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel at home.

I ordered a burrito and found that the red beans were hard, which made me have to pick them out. The burrito was also very dry, containing nothing but beans, rice, and chicken. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 5.
