My fiance and I purchased food from souljas restaurant on Nostrand Ave. There next day we became very sick with Diarra and vomiting. We are still under the weather from that incident. You guys are reheating and reselling food. People you are eating there at your own risk. I will never buy food from this restaurant again...

Soldiers has the best tasting Jamaican food options in the area. The food as fresh and absolutely delicious. I even forgot my phone on the counter and they found it! It is not easy to find a 5 star dining experience. I packed the biggest plate possible and all for 15 dollars. I can’t wait to return especially for their delicious salmon yum! I also got the sea moss which is $5. My experience was great and the cashier was lovely and kind.

Been away too long. Stopped in once when they were still in takeout-only mode, and importing the offerings to Jersey City is a food science clinical trial I didn 't want to pursue. So I was glad to revisit them; everything 's top-notch and the buffet still has a daunting selection, but when you combine 12 things it doesn 't photograph well.The mac-and-cheese was surprisingly compelling. The j chicken was great; this version had the smoky flavor cooked right into the meat in lieu of sauce. But if it 's sauce you 're into, the chicken curry offers a stunning concoction so you 'll want plenty of rice and peas to accompany it. Even though this isn 't a greetings, sir, we 've saved your oceanfront table joint I appreciated the friendly service.

The food is a bit salty in my opinion, but overall it's still a good value.

Despite the cashier taking their time with orders, the food that was presented looked clean and appetizing. I ordered a small portion of everything I wanted, and it was delicious! The fried chicken was particularly tasty. Overall, I would rate this place an 8/10 because the food is so good. I wish I could have taken a picture, but I'll definitely do that next time!
