Freemans - City of New York

I took some guests out for a nice dinner and had made a reservation ahead of time. However, when a girl called to confirm, I mentioned that my partner and I are getting married and that we might arrive a bit earlier than planned. She simply responded that they were fully booked and asked if I wanted to keep the reservation. There was no congratulations or any further explanation, just a firm "we're booked." I really wish I had chosen a different place for dinner. The server was also quite unfriendly, which dampened the experience. Overall, it was not at all what I was hoping for.

I felt that our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed, but I tried to be understanding. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for lunch.

A laid-back and welcoming dining experience with delicious dishes served promptly.

We loved our brunch here! it is clogged in a street so that we felt that very local they could find. the atmosphere was so cozy and quirky. it felt like I was eating in the library in hogsmeade. would definitely recommend!

Hopefully, we just caught the chef on a bad lunch shift. The food was mediocre at best, despite the fact that I asked the waitress what would be the best thing to get. I even let her know that I run a good blog, and it was still meh. Ambiance is fantastic. I'll go back on someone else's dime and try again.
