Contribuiți la feedbackIt's such a shame that the restaurant had such fantastic bar staff and a spacious and pleasant atmosphere, as well as a great selection of beer and ale. However, the food was absolutely terrible. The fish and chips and sausages and mash were probably the worst, and overpriced too. It seemed like they were using microwaved battered fish and meat, and it was barely chewable. We do not recommend trying the food here.
We had a disappointing experience at the White Swan during our visit to Tate Britain. The food we ordered was not up to par - the burger was overcooked and flavorless, while the hunters chicken was also tough and the coleslaw was discoloured. Despite being hungry and pressed for time, we only managed to eat half of our meal. When we informed the waiting staff about our dissatisfaction, they were apologetic and mentioned it to the chef. However, the chef's response was that we should have returned the food if we didn't like it. We recommend that future visitors don't hesitate to send back any subpar dishes. On a positive note, the pub is a nice spot for drinks.
The restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate us during their busiest time of the year, Christmas. We were worried about sitting near the door with small children but they made sure we were placed in a suitable location. The meals all arrived at the same time and were hot and delicious. The real ale was complimentary and very reasonably priced for the area. It's worth asking at the bar for recommendations on which beers are the best.
Want to do a huge shout out to Dave and the team for hosting my family friendly 50th catch up with friends last week. We booked the upstairs area for a Saturday afternoon and it worked perfectly. Space was excellent lots of tables and chairs, with walking/ dancing space in the middle, loads of natural light so didn’t feel gloomy. We had 40+ people and space/location/price point worked perfectly and meant my partner and I had a really easy day and able to enjoy ourselves. There is a toilet upstairs so numerous trips with small people wasn’t a problem, and added bonus of being able to change music volume. It was a rugby day so those who wanted to watch could was playing on 2 screens, but absolutely did not overshadow conversations and laughter. All guests were really happy with variety, quality and price of drinks and food. 2 points for improvement: website said we’d have our own bar upstairs, but didn’t wasn’t a problem in the end; some more child friendly food options would be appreciated chips were the only smaller dish. Thank you!
Found this on TripAdvisor and tried it out. It is very close to the Pimlico tube station. We had the fish and chips and they are delicious! Drinks and ambience is great!
