Serpentine - City of London,Westminster

We cannot give a comprehensive review of this restaurant as we only stopped in for a drink, but we can say that it was excellent for that purpose. Despite it being a cold day in February, the cafe was bustling with customers. We were served quickly and efficiently, and were able to relax with a nice Hot Chocolate Latte. We enjoyed people-watching for about 20 minutes before continuing on our way. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely visit again.

I worked a shift at this restaurant on a very hot summer day in July 2019. Since then, I have been trying to get paid but have not received any payment to this day. The manager, Valentina, was rude and disrespectful while I was working there, making rude comments under her breath and being unpleasant to the serving staff. The other manager, Kevin, has repeatedly lied to me about sorting out my pay, but the agency I work through has no record of him trying to process it. Every time I call, they hang up on me and refuse to address the situation. It is clear that they take advantage of their staff and the restaurant is poorly managed. Benugo's should consider hiring professional managers instead of the current individuals in charge.

The restaurant is situated along the Serpentine, offering a stunning location with both indoor and outdoor seating. It operates on a self-service basis and closes early, typically between 5 pm and 7 pm, so it's advisable to check their hours before visiting. Conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Knightsbridge Tube station.

After passing through Heathrow airport customs, I opted for the express train (even though it was pricey, the underground would have been too crowded during rush hour) and strolled through Hyde Park. Despite the food being average and the restaurant being bustling, I had a delightful soup at the Serpentine bar and kitchen. It was a nice break from the hectic atmosphere. The restroom facilities were also clean and convenient before heading back to Heathrow for my onward flight.

The fish fingers were not authentic, the gluten-free pizza was lackluster, and the pasta was underwhelming. The only standout was the coffee. Unfortunately, the staff was unaware of what vegan options were available.
