I still remember the taste of the tasty halibut (my favorite) and some of the great praises of my wife, with whom she needed help. we chose a really good New Zealand white wine (the one who has a light taste of tart geeseberry) to go with it, recommended by the waiter. So... great service, my favorite. that was then. but I see so many recent bad reviews that I'm afraid to come back. please calm down.
It appears and has been confirmed that the restaurant is no longer fish merchants, although the website claims that they are. we sat with two menus, both written with weinlist on the cover, but actually they contained the menu. On the wine...Menu there was only one red and one white wein on the glass. we went to lunch to taste the advertised lunch for per person, but we had to ask for this menu. there are more fish dishes on the special menu than seafood dishes. the aubergine and the cheese of my partner were ok – but called “unusual”. my salat, who was advertised with garlic bread and cheese, was an ordinary Greek salad, dressed over and without sign of garlic bread. the main course of my partner for a trio fish had a spicy dressing that drank the taste of the fish. one of the trio was heavy fish, which was edible and dry. my main course of the salmon in a creamy sauce was very big, but the creamy sauce was thin and the salmon was just ok. the chips were good. I have now read the other trip advisor reviews and I see that I am not alone. this restaurant will not be in a counter that offers many fine restaurants and it should not.

The reviews have been mixed, but my man has made a reservation in the seaport because they were close and he knows I like fish. it was Valentine's Day, so we hoped it would be a special occasion. when we arrived, it was obvious that the woman who met us...undifferentiatedly did not know about our reservation and we showed an unused table as if we had gone to the chance. gradually we became cutlery, etc. for the table and a menu given. there was a restraint to take our order and we waited until the same indifferent woman was ready. the restaurant was busy, but not full; we noticed that other diners wait for their meals. After almost an hour we still had not our starter and made a few requests until now) thought that calamari did not last so long to cook. When it finally arrived, no excuse, it was really good and we enjoyed it. immediately that was finished our main course came, rather dry, on a very hot teller. the portions were generous when dry, aromen were good. it was obvious that these had been prepared earlier and kept a waiter hot, told us later that the kitchen had made a mistake and exceeded our starter order, although we did not. the waiter apologised and said the owner cooks tonight! what pampered the evening was the hire of the staff who knew that a mistake was made, but it did not agree or apologized only at the end of the meal. the main course was dry and my man was annoyed that his research and choice of restaurants had not lived on expectation, which caused all the tensions between us. with a good, varied menu of fresh fish seaport has the potential to satisfy its diner. with workers who do not welcome, a relaxed ambiente through the evaluation of customers and a kitchen that can make a mistake, but do nothing to make changes, customers will feel less than happy.
What a disappointment! Encouraged by good reviews and since we were in the area that night, we headed down to Seaport to try the supposedly wonderful fresh fish. On a Tuesday at we were the only diners. The starter that was recommended arrived quickly...and was interesting and palatable, in particular the prawns in a Mauritian cream sauce. The experience went downhill from here. Our mains arrived without side dishes, we patiently waited mins and prompted the waiter. We were told that the dishes had gone? And after further probing discovered they had allegedly burnt them. Shocking really since we were the only guests. We asked for bread and butter and received that terrible half baked nuclear proof bread that is stored for years in freezers and reheated. Our fish was over cooked and dry and very disappointing. Very bad value for money, it is clearly very hard to delivery simple and fresh fish! When we complained to our waiter we were told that the chef was the owner, not sure what this implied, he should be ashamed. Do not bother.
