The owner said the restaurant had changed hands when I noticed my favourite starter (tuna and bean salad , was no longer on the menu.Standards have fallen from when it was family owned. Main courses (saltimbocca and prawn and pesto pasta both floating in too much oil. Not enjoyable.

Wonderful lunch! Highly recommend. Three tots and made us a table despite being busy. Would definitely recommend

Lovely meal at Il Posto before a much anticipated visit to the theatre. A low key but friendly and intimate restaurant, we were absolutely delighted by the meals we had Spaghetti alle Vongole for me, pasta Frutti de Mare for my wife following on from a flavoursome Burrata which was plenty big enough for sharing. There were some decent wines by the glass, and the waiting staff were delightful. What was particularly impressive was to see how solicitously sole diners were treated. An American woman just behind me told me that she’d had meals there no less than 5 times over the course of her holiday, and planned to return there for every one of the final five nights of her break. There’s stiff local competition for diners’ custom but Il Posto more than holds its own. The next time we are looking for somewhere to eat in the Victoria area we are bound to head back there. I reckon my newly found friend from the other side of the Pond is onto something.

Arrived shortly before 6pm. Restaurant was about half full. Ordered the seafood over pasta. Decent portion. However the food was too bland for me. Not the typical/traditional Italian dish I’m used to over marinara sauce. The restaurant was way too hot. Wasn’t crazy about the service. Had to ask for water several times. Didn’t feel welcome at all. Disappointed

Really good italian staff and waiters. Food is good, even if it's not the best but prices are low to be an italian restaurant in central London. And comparing the taste of the food with prices is a really really good choice. The parmigiana is SUPER, SUPER, maybe the best plate. Pasta looks really good but I only ha d chance to taste 1 flavour but I would like to come back to try the other pasta plates. Yes, I reccommend this place to italians and non italians. Waiters realy really attentive and taking care of the customers which is a really good point.
