This restaurant has a kind of outside window and you can see the food from the outside. That's why I got it. the place is not to miss, but the food is pretty good. falafel, smoke, lentil soup and, surprisingly, a san miguel. There was no other beer, and I was scared. the place was full of newspaper clippings that mentioned the place in question. In fact, everything was delicious and of very good price, even if it was London.
Gabys is a very basic deli. but their falafels are excellent, especially when they are fresh. accompanied by a salt-rib sandwich and a bit hummus, they are for a beautiful budget court. address: 30 charing cross rd, london wc2h 0de. Phone:020 7836 4233
Gaby’s deli is a frequent hunt for actors and visitors from theatreland and it is so proud that all walls are covered with photos of the actors, signed posters from plays and cuts time pieces that fill the event place and especially its salted bark sandwich, I decided to make a proper cooked meal instead of going. I was very happy with my choice, as the lens soup was made with yellow lenses, the way my oma makes it back in Greece, and the pfeffer also had a very Mediterranean taste. this is likely because the whole menu is inspired by different Mediterranean countries and aromen, Greece...more
So next time they feel pacious in the west end, order a salt beef sandwich with whispers of senf and a pickel in gabys deli a unique jewel in the heart of theatreland, which feeds the soul and the belly!
Now Gaby’s on Charing Cross Road is what they call an institution. It’s been there since the beginning of time as far as I know and yet somehow, shamefully I’d never been (though the journo is a veteran).
