Brazen Monkey Karaoke

After some initial confusion with our reservation, the staff at this restaurant put in a lot of effort to make our large party a success. They were very accommodating in splitting the drink bills, and even though the food took a bit of time to come out (which actually added to the lively atmosphere and conversation), everyone had a fantastic time. The highlight of the evening was moving downstairs for some karaoke fun!

Cantina Canaletto in Venice is a delightful restaurant with a fantastic wine list, great food, excellent service, a wonderful atmosphere, and reasonable prices. The mixed meat starter for two was a standout, with freshly sliced prosciutto, mortadella, salami, roast pork, and ham served with garlic pizza that was delicious.

Highly recommend this bar for karoke. Most of all, make sure Kyle is your host endless good music, hospitable and warm.

The worst place I have ever been...in fact it was so bad Brazen Monkey said they would no longer be operating there when we complained, but it seems that they still are! When we arrived the bar staff had not turned up so we could not have drinks, the food was not ready and the toilets were disgusting! We got a glimpse inside of the kitchen and that is when we decided that there was no way we were staying, let alone eating at this venue. So unorganised, no help and such bad hygiene.

I would not book from them. I booked for my birthday and at first I was moved from Soho to Tottenham Court Road. When I came the bar staff did not know how the machines worked so we had to figure it out ourselfs. The microphones were badly autotuned so we all sounded like little girls when we sang. We talked to the bar staff and they couldn’t figure out how it worked. Thankfully we are all studying theatre so we had one on the guest list that took a half an hour to fix it to the best of his ability with the help from the guy who runs Brazen Monkey on the phone. Thought it was a bit ridiculous that the staff working that night did nothing to help us. After that night I demanded at least a little refund and they promised me that however when repeadetly asking for it at one point they said that there might have been some damage to the room wich none of my guests regognised. After repedetly asking for what the damage was and asking for at least a refund for the first hour as that was the hour MY GUESTS not the staff working that night took to fix their machines I have heard nothing back. At first I was very understanding and didn’t blame the bar staff working that night and politely asked for a refund if possible but I am very dissapointed and upset that nobody has bothered to reply to me anymore to tell me about the damage or if I am getting a little refund or not. Very dissapointed!
