Thanh Dat - City of Knox

Went here for our Christmas friends end-of-year lunch. Enjoyed the fresh food, large fresh prawns and the fish with coconut sauce. Only problems were that I said that I was allergic to mushrooms yet the beef and black bean dish HAD mushrooms! So that was one dish I couldn't eat!! Other problem was we ordered prawns with cashews but NO cashews!! which my friend, whose choice it was, was disappointed. The 4 of us sat there for nearly 2 hours enjoying the Vietnamese/Chinese tea, talking, eating and cappuccinos without having any pressure to leave. Very popular with locals and Australians.

Love eating here after a grocery shop at markets. Food is always fresh and fast. Decor tired and old but dont let that put you off. Food is the best- you wont be disappointed. Vietnamese and Cantonese mainly. Enjoy!

There has been a Slump in Quality in Services and Food and Quantity long wait for our food and sour faces on the staff disappointing!

If you're looking for a Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant that has exceptional food look no further.. We've been coming here for past 2years and their food has always been consistent. We have tried many dishes all of which have been of the highest quality always with the freshest ingredients. The service is quick and we are always greeted with a smile. This restaurant is a stand out for me - why?? - consistency in the food. I have never left their disappointed with any dish and before we have even left we are planning on next visit.. Try it! You won't be disappointed

Ordinary decor but food outshines. Food is delicious and fresh. Been there heaps. Owners are very helpful
