Mulgrave Country Club's Country Bistro

If you want to eat your Sunday buffet lunch slowly, this is the place to go. More than 70% of their customers are over 60s. As the restaurant is quite big, you don't get the hustle bustle of other buffet restaurants. Not noisy on Sunday and beautiful views of the lawn bowls.However, even after 5 years of coming here, the food range was very similar and not extensive. The cold seafood was fresh, salads were more mayo based and creamy (wish they have other spicy or sour selections), roast tasty but overcooked veggies and tasteless roast pumpkin. There were 4 or 5 choices of desserts.Service to clear the dirty dishes was fast.Good value of money spent here!

Very nice service, good menu and very relaxing mood. Nice for Sunday luncheon specially if you have a birthday for a group.Very nice for a special celebration in the upstairs room we had my friends 50th surprise birthday party it was great.

Visited on a Sunday evening for the buffet dinner. Restaurant wasn't overly busy, found the staff to be very efficient in removing empty plates and all done with a smile.Personally I'm not a seafood person but the others tucked into the prawns whilst I explored the buffet. Very good choice pork & lamb were cut as required and there were plenty of other choices. What impressed me was dishes were being continually replaced with fresh hot dishes.An inexpensive nights with family & friends. Definitely recommend

We were greeted at the front desk and there was an easy system to become a member of the club. The club is nice with good music and a large menu to select from. The kids chose a cheese burger and meatballs from the extensive kids menu. Stephanie chose a rib eye steak medium rare which came more medium well done. Our guest ordered porterhouse which he loved and I ordered meat lovers palma which was average. They came with good vegetables nicely cooked and great fries. The desert menu is also extensive with the kuds coising icecream and also lemon meringue tart. Our guest chose flourless orange caje with cream (pictured) which he loved. All in all a good evening.

This is a really nice friendly place to eat and drink if you are in the area. Food very well prepared and staff are super. Good meeting/function rooms.
