Mulgrave Country Club's Country Bistro

Had a lunch with friends here, very friendly staff, accommodating for meal requirements, good wheel chair access with unloading area in carpark. Was nice and clean, staff knowledgable about history of the place. Will come here again!

My husband took my Mum to use her birthday gift voucher recently. Both really enjoyed their meal but confusion reigns if you try & set up a tab to cover drinks from the bar at the same time as paying for your meal. This has happened before to us & perhaps it is an area the Restaurant Manager could look ibnto as I'm sure this has happened to other diners as well. That aside my Mother enjoyed her food & night out with her son in law very much.

Visited on a Sunday evening for the buffet dinner. Restaurant wasn't overly busy, found the staff to be very efficient in removing empty plates and all done with a smile.Personally I'm not a seafood person but the others tucked into the prawns whilst I explored the buffet. Very good choice pork & lamb were cut as required and there were plenty of other choices. What impressed me was dishes were being continually replaced with fresh hot dishes.An inexpensive nights with family & friends. Definitely recommend

The Mulgrave Country Club looks great from the outside, but seems a little dated once inside.It was mid December as we finally drove off the Monash carpark and needed a place to eat close by. The Mulgrave Country Club suited us before tackling the rest of the trip home.Easy entry, a quick scan of driving licenses and we entered the dining room to be greeted and seated by the host.Drinks came along promptly and after a short wait in line at the Bistro food area placed our order for Seafood Fettucine and Garlic Prawns.Food arrived quickly and hot, but unfortunately we found both dishes to be a little bland, just lacking something that could take the food from what was served to food that would be great. And for a club, prices more in line with an upscale Restaurant.However the club must have something as by the time we took our leave the Bistro was filling up fast and we overheard at the entry they were full and bookings only from then on.Perhaps another try of other dishes when next in the area and needing relief from the horrors of negotiating the Monash carpark.

We were greeted at the front desk and there was an easy system to become a member of the club. The club is nice with good music and a large menu to select from. The kids chose a cheese burger and meatballs from the extensive kids menu. Stephanie chose a rib eye steak medium rare which came more medium well done. Our guest ordered porterhouse which he loved and I ordered meat lovers palma which was average. They came with good vegetables nicely cooked and great fries. The desert menu is also extensive with the kuds coising icecream and also lemon meringue tart. Our guest chose flourless orange caje with cream (pictured) which he loved. All in all a good evening.
