Hungry Zaks Fish N Chips - City of Knox

Don' t get caught out by visiting this fish and chip shop. We called in for an easy Sunday night dinner and were appalled by the soggy, tasteless food. They would have to have been the worst ever chips and the fish although ample in size was a soggy battery mess. Do yourself a favour and find an alternative.

This is an excellent restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. The wait times are moderate, and my large order was ready in about 25-35 minutes even during a busy period. I highly recommend checking out this place, as their menu is fantastic.

Updated review: The fries were excellent this time - not oily at all, with the perfect color and scent. I wasn't a fan of the potato cake, as it was too greasy and the batter wasn't up to par (although many of my friends would disagree). In my opinion, the batter didn't taste right and had a strange smell (possibly from old oil or maybe it's just me), but the potato inside was cooked perfectly. The portions were generous for the price, the service was fantastic, and the wait time was reasonable. Overall, I personally recommend this place for a quick snack.

This has been the best fish and chips I've had all year! The food was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the unique twist on battered potato cakes. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning for more.

Yes it is good. Chips are great, spring rolls are yummy too. But!!! If you change your hours of opening, notify Google Maps! They are not open on Sundays! Oh, anyone else notice the price difference between pick-up and delivery? Double the price on everything!!! Are you kidding???
