It's challenging not to have a biased opinion of Mexican food, having grown up surrounded by authentic Mexican cuisine. I think if you've never experienced Mexican food, then this is a great spot to try it out in nearly the further away location from Mexico here in the US. I ordered the Tacos de Birria meal with two side street tacos. The portions are great, though the beans tasted out of a can. The rice tastes as expected, but then there's the tacos. I had high hopes for the Birria tacos, but they fell short. There was seemingly no cheese (even mozzarella would've been fine) and little cilantro and onion. Now, the consumé that's typically served as a bowl to dip in came in a 2oz to-go cup. Not feasible for dipping, but maybe they don't have enough to serve large cups. The street tacos were just as empty as the birria, but I would say the meat was seasoned and cooked similar to the Birria, even though it's two different styles they're normally cooked. I hope this review doesn't change your mind about trying out this place, as it is still a nice location that gives off a more posh, new-age atmosphere. I can not expect every Mexican restaurant to be tile ceramic designs, Spanish music, and the authentic flavor I grew up with. I do hope that the review for the food helps adjust for better quality. Thank you for the service, I hope this place continues to serve a taste of Mexico as far as Northeast as it can get.
My husband and I wanted to try it out since he loves Mexican food we went in it was a lot smaller than I imagined seated us out side sat approximately 15 mins no one ever brought water acknowledged us so we left and went across to slo bones and was treated amazing n their food was delicious and the server was very friendly and quick
I enjoyed the food overall. I had the nachos with pineapple on them and it was delicious! I got the half order and it as huge! My husband got a fajita and it was not what he was used to. It didn’t have green peppers or tomato so it took him off guard- granted, he should have read. The rice and beans servings were huge but when the waitress asked if he wanted that, we assumed it was included or a small addition and it was like $3.50 each so an extra $7 for rice and beans which was excessive.
Shout out to our server, Elise!!!! I will definitely say she is extremely good at her job. High praise to Elise. In today's world it is so hard to find good help and she had a smile and joked with us. Great service! My friend had just purchased a house and we decided to stop in here for lunch. We like to try different Mexican places. Food was Tex-Mex we was hoping for authentic.
