Al Campanile - Citta di castello

It is very easy to find this restaurant in Citta di Castello. Just look up for a tall round stone tower and the Al Campanile is at its base. This would be classified even by locals as a low cost restaurant. It is self service, in that you look at foods displayed in a cabinet, pick up your tray, plate and cutlery and ask or point to the food of your choice. They have hot and cold dishes and salads. You can also make up your own vegetarian only choice. All the food we had in our group of 8 was completely delicious. The decor is basic and canteen like, but all this simplicity is reflected in your bill, which should prove exceptionally small and excellent value for money. There were soft drinks/mineral waters, beers and wines on offer, again all good value. A very satisfying and relaxed lunch finished with a delicious double espresso and tiramisu.

Courtesy, cleanliness, rustic environment and great food. Too bad that the twins in the evening are closed, otherwise I would come much more often.

Right in the center of the castle city, this self service offers the possibility of a fast lunch without spending much. the quality is adequate to the prices contained, the portions are abundant. the service is very courteous. value for money (low)
