Beautiful place, very interesting to visit. Even though the city has experienced many restorations, it remains no less impressive and interesting. The visit of the ramparts is free for under 26 years, which is very appreciable. The explanations on the history of each part of the ramparts are very interesting and clear. The view is beautiful on the surroundings. Regarding access, it is easy by car and parking facilities are nearby. For people with reduced mobility, I do not think it is accessible. Regarding the center of the medieval city, it is clearly a tourist catch, but it is understandable given the popularity of the place. However, wait for you at high prices for foodstuffs in particular. I have not seen public toilets inside the enclosure, which is understandable but also damaging because you have to go out to find it, which can be boring in case of a problem. That said, I 100% recommend the visit of Carcassonne.

Wonderful city! In this period it is even better because there is not a lot of people and we feel that the visit is private. We spent the weekend, although we already know the place it remains each time wonderful and magical. The city is a must-see place to visit with family, friends or couples!

What a discovery! A place full of history and surprises. We enjoyed a lot and the children too! The knighting show is really very successful and it’s almost what we love you. Although there are really a lot of people, and the parking lot is paid, we spent a really nice time in this medieval city to walk around the little streets and discover this place full of mystery. It would be worth coming back! We recommend.
