Holzman Meats - Cincinnati

I purchased a standing rib roast for New Year’s Day, and although it wasn't inexpensive, it seemed like a poor-quality roast. Something was off with it, and it ended up making us sick. We experienced a range of symptoms, and we're still dealing with the aftermath. I will never buy anything from here again. I'm not sure what was wrong with the roast, but it was certainly not good. It honestly feels like we were poisoned.

Let me share my experience. During my time working in Ohio, I frequented this restaurant regularly. The Chicken Salad was absolutely incredible! It’s been about six years, and I still haven't found a chicken salad that comes close. Every dish I tried was delicious. It's definitely worth the five-hour drive from Illinois. Food: 5/5

I tried their Italian Panini on sourdough and it was absolutely fantastic! I also really appreciate their variety of options. Food: 5/5

My family recently moved here from Western Hills where we got all our meat from Humberts butchers for a decade. I wanted to continue patronizing a local butcher and found Holzmans. We have gotten two weekly orders from them and won’t be going back. The prices are truly outrageous. I expect to pay a premium for butcher quality meat, but they are over double other butchers. Paying over $10 a pound for ground chuck or chicken breast is absolutely crazy. They don’t have prices posted online or in their flyer and due to pandemic guidelines, it is curbside pickup only, so you don’t know the prices prior to ordering/pickup. I won’t be going back.
