Contribuiți la feedbackWe saw they do Asian dessert and since they also offer yum cha, we met here for lunch to see how they are. We were very happy with their fried squid, we agreed that this was probably the best dish from all we had ordered, the prawn and chive dumpling had a lot of filling and the turnip cake was not too bad. We were all quite disappointed with their beef tendon because albeit it was very tender and very well cooked, the flavoring was not very good and unlike any others we have ever tried, we could not even finish this dish and it's at the bottom of our list. The prawn rice roll had a very alarming presentation, we were all joking that we thought the prawns would be inside the rolls, but the flavour was quite nice, although the skin was on the thick side, but the texture was good and we were happy enough about this. Then we tried the sticky rice in lotus wrap and it was very sour in some parts, originally I thought it was off, but then I realized that it was just way too much vinegar and lots and lots of ginger, I would rate this very low as well. Then came the dessert that we were hoping to get and when it arrived, unfortunately the tofu had gone off and was sour, we went to tell the chef about this and they said okay, we did not realize until much later that they had just decided to remove this from our bill and were not going to replace this, so we never really got to eat this dessert properly, we did eat the pearls however, because they were not off, and they were very nice and chewy, such a pity.
Food was amazing, my friend and I both got the set menu hotpot, and we both couldn't finish it, so much for what you pay for. we added extra drinks, sauce, and more dishes, and split broth so it ended up being $56.50 each, which isn't bad for a full meal plus drinks. The dumplings were amazing, and I loved that we got to make our own sauce for the hotpot. Service was great, when I had questions about the inclusions, they were happily answered, and always checked in and added top up water to the broth. Definitely reccomend going here with a group of friends, and prepare to be stuffed full after eating.
Nice foo and service . There is usually a long line so was pleasantly surprised to be able to walk in and order straight away. If planning to visit don't count on my experience prepare to wait a bit
Turns out you can get Chinese breakfast here! As far as I know this may be the only restaurant in Wellington that serves Chinese breakfast. Totally recommend it, great value for money and delicious. Also open Sunday apparently
Spicy Hot pot was great. The address and better foods. The owner Jane is always the best.
