Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting JJ Murphy and Co, an Irish bar located on Cuba Street. JJ Murphy and Co is a large pub, bustling with activity and brimming with character. One of the standout features of this establishment is its layout, with numerous alcoves and seating booths that create a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Additionally, the pool area and stage add an extra dimension to the venue, offering entertainment and a focal point for live performances on most nights. The bar boasts a good selection of drinks, catering to a variety of preferences. From Irish whiskeys to locally crafted beers, there is something to please every palate. The attentive and friendly staff were knowledgeable about the offerings, always ready to offer suggestions and recommendations to enhance the overall experience. One of the highlights of JJ Murphy and Co is the opportunity to sit outside and watch the world go by on Cuba Street. It's a fantastic vantage point to soak up the bustling energy of the city while enjoying a refreshing drink or a tasty meal. The ambience is normal, as is the food. However, it's a rather nice (and free) place to spend some time with your friends playing as there are 5 pools. Nice staff, reasonable prices, and good location.

Very bad service by the female manager on duty, we do understand about rules in place re public holidays, Buutttt there is such a thing as the delivery of that message to patrons!!! The way you get spied on while being seated, the lack of items to order on food menu!!, and then worst of all the fries were cooked in old oil, probably from yesterday!!! You need to do better!!!

The food and drinks here are amazing value. Outside is a great spot to people watch. Staff are always decent here too. They have these really cool little booths out the back too that I would recommend checking out

I was there last night at JJ murphys 18/01/2023 and I had terrible customer experience. The Guy name Hamish who served us was so Rude arrogant as if he doesnt like his Job. First he Disrespected a female staff by yelling at her in front of whole bar. Then he yelled at a customer in the queue. Later he yelled at us because we asked some assistance for ordering food from the menu. Later on girl 2 staff girls delivered food on our table and they apologized and mentioned that his name is Hamish and he is our manager. He does not treat our staff with respect. I feel bad for those young girls suffering under that Idiot. I hope JJ murphys owner will take action against Idiot Hamish.
