Contribuiți la feedback2021 post-initial COVID-19 mandate, the place is very strange and not conforming together. how is it that the casino can only open for navajo nation residents? people from the city gallup and even natives with residence in gallup may not be allowed to go to the casino. They are identified, temperature tested and re-identified in the pub. the management is a kind of basic. we take the money from reserves that hold the reservation. what a sense does that result? if they pass through, a gallup resident or native living from the rez, they cannot enter at this time. that must be a socialist experiment that has gone wrong. I wonder what the management of this casino is smoking. but it's nice to see some famous friends with a fake ID. I ordered the first-class diving sandwich. it had very little prime rib meat and no au jus. What is the point of luck?! we also ordered the lamb ribs. they were tender and tasty. So, what are we after glen of this experience? it sucks. there is not enough pros to outweigh the consensus. the management has to do a few things right first. they also took the best items from the menu, the first-class Rib dinner. there is no stella on the tap, so they give this place a pass until they rent decent food and drink management.
We had a most delicious and memorable meal at Cheii's Restaurant at Fire Rock Casino. I had lamb stew, and my husband had lamb ribs with blue corn mush, a green chile, fry bread, and veggie sides. Everything was fantastic! They have a varied menu with standard American sports bar fare, but also more traditional area offerings, and some intriguing fusion dishes like green chile chicken alfredo or grilled salmon with jalapeño honey butter served with butternut squash... we'll for sure be back to sample some of the other menu items! While visiting the area, my close friend and I stopped off at the Fire Rock Casino in Gallup to have a meal after we watched a movie. We arrived to the casino at around 9:30 PM on 02/01/20. The casino was packed. We wanted to grab a meal at Cheii Grill Pub. Upon arrival, they seated us immediately, which was surprising considering how packed it was. They had a local live band from Crownpoint, New Mexico playing and performing country music. It was quite the happening scene as other patrons would get out on the dance floor. I do have to say the music was pretty loud that we had to shout at one another to have a conversation. We didn't mind though. Our waitress was very friendly, and professional. Upon being seated, we didn't wait long for our drink order to be taken. And upon placing our food order, it arrived within 10 minutes, so not bad. The food was fresh, tasty and fulfilling. The cost was very decent and in my opinion for economic perhaps it was very cheap in cost considering what I am usually used to paying for food while dining out. I ordered the Navajo Taco. The fry bread was fluffy, huge and very delicious. The beans were well cooked, and seasoned perfectly. The cheese and lettuce were very fresh. All in all, it was a good experience. Granted it was super packed, we received timely, efficient, friendly service from the wait staff at this establishment. Next time I am in the area, and I want to go to the casino, I will definitely stop off here for a good meal.
Do not visit the bar during NFL season. The management made a very poor decision. How can a business cater to those who are not paying customers and expect to sustain profits. They penalize paying customers because of non-paying customers. They randomly change game channels so that non-paying customers move on out of the bar area. Valet management is horrible when the valet parking is full they will wave you through or call security to make you move. But it's ok to wait in line until they say it's not full then give your spot in line alway until a random car gets the next open spot. It's not Vegas. It's a poorly managed tent in the desert. The only saving grace is the wonderful staff of bartenders, servers, and valets, as well as, some decent food specials on Tuesday and Friday. It's the management who needs to go back to school and learn to handle customers with service and diplomacy and not confrontational attitudes nor poorly worded explanations of policies. If you are stuck in Gallup, give it a try but make sure the valet lot isn't full, the bar has seats, and don't eat the hamburgers. Have the fry bread, prime rib dip, or sandwiches with tortilla. Bartenders Keisha, Lynette, and Lionel are the best on staff and make this place palatable and the bar welcoming. Otherwise, beware it's tight in the aisles and very smoky.
Incredibly slow kitchen. Next time I'll try the food court. That was my one star review. Now I know better Four stars: The service was great. An NFL game was on the very big screen, and were given great seats without asking. It took what seemed like hours for food to arrive. The server kept us up to date. When the food did arrive, the sever told us they are training two new cooks. They got the salad wrong, so the chef was called to do it right. The salad was quite good. I was there for an Indian taco. It was one of the best I've ever had. Upon leaving, they comped us our sodas
