Christies Beach Hotel

We booked a table for 8 adults and 5 children at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the staff was not overly helpful or friendly, including those working at the bar. The meals were quite disappointing as they were served at different times, leaving some of us finished before others. The portion sizes were also lacking, with the adult servings being similar in size to the children's meals. Additionally, the pricing seemed disproportionate, with the fish and chips for adults being triple the price of the children's portion. Overall, the dining experience was average at best. The staff could use some training in politeness and customer service.

A group of 20 people booked a table for 6:30 pm on September 21st. Despite placing our orders at 6:45, we had to wait until 7:50 to inquire about our meal. The wait caused the children in our party to go hungry. While some of us had finished eating, two meals were still missing. By the time we were ready for dessert, the table had not been cleared. We stacked our plates, but no one came to collect them. Despite being disappointed with the size and quality of the meals, the overall service left much to be desired. We were left waiting for our table to be cleaned and ended up having to request assistance to clear our own dishes. In the end, we were left feeling very unsatisfied with our experience.

Four of us went to a birthday dinner on a Wednesday night on 21/9/22, and we had made a reservation in advance. We waited for over 75 minutes for our meal, which was okay once it finally arrived, but it was significantly delayed. We had started eating some of the hot rolls while discussing how to ask for a refund so we could just go to KFC when our food eventually showed up. I live nearby and have been dining at this restaurant for many years, where delicious meals are typically served promptly and efficiently. We missed our usual waiter and manager. The food came out slowly, one dish at a time, as we watched, and some people still hadn't received their meals by the time we had finished eating and left. We assumed that something was amiss, perhaps the chef was sick or the manager was absent, but after many years of dining at our local pub, unfortunately, we do not plan to return for another meal.

For more than 5 years we have come to this place. the meal was poor, edible. ordered the day with roasted. came with carrots and plucked and no carrots, maisbroccoli etc. at all. waits. manager, who said I'm sorry and after 10 minutes replaced it with a carving that came with salat. I had ordered veg. the waitress took it back and then bought the same meal with a cup full of steamed veg. no knife or fork, or serviette and chips so salty can not eat. we had paid good money for this meal and hungry and with outrage of the small amount we consumed. would not recommend.

Ordered mixed grill with steak a d chop cooked rare. Came out and steak and chop was inedible, couldn't even cut them with the steak knife. Completely smothered with gravy that had the weirdest taste. Chips were very good though.
